The City of New York is now transcribing records dating to 1660 to help historians and everyday residents locate records documenting enslaved New Yorkers. The Dept. of Records is calling for volunteers to help with transcribing as it builds the searchable database. I shot and edited this video for NYC Dept. of Records and Information Services.

Before the Dutch arrived, the Lenape called the land NYC sits on home. They walked the woodland trail that became Broadway and built a thriving civilization that endured for thousands of years.The story of New York City begins with the Lenape and continues with them today. I produced, edited, and designed graphics for the City of NY Government and the Lenape Center.

The New York Liberty's first WNBA championship was celebrated in style with a ticker-tape parade up the Canyon of Heroes in New York City. I shot and edited this nat-package for NYC Government, same day turnaround.

NYC Health + Hospitals workers like Sonia were on the ground day in and day out at Floyd Bennett Field, providing shelter, food, services, and comfort to asylum seekers. I edited this mini documentary for Health + Hospitals and the Office of the Mayor.
How NYC Converted Waste to Biogas (Producer and Editor)

Right from the cafeterias, NYC is helping create the fuel that powers and heats homes across the city. It's called biogas and it starts with the food scraps tossed into composting by public school kids. I produced and edited this video in collaboration with illustrator, Caty Bartholomew.

These dedicated New Yorkers undergo extensive training so they can make sure the thousands of beautiful trees in our city are happy, healthy and free of any safety issues for those down below. On September 11th, 2001, more than 500,000 people were transported on NYC's waterways from Ground Zero to safety. The Staten Island Ferry transported more than 50,000 people while returning to Manhattan with supplies and emergency personnel. Staten Island Ferry Safety Manager, Brian Walsh, provides his account of the day’s events and how city agencies came together to manage the crisis. I produced and edited this piece for the City of New York and the Office of the Mayor.
